Muhumara - about this recipe

Hot mixed nuts from Lebanon.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the olive oil to medium and add the garlic, radishes and chillies.
  2. Cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add the nuts and stir for a minute or two.
  4. Add the spring onions, stir for a further minute and season with the cayenne pepper and the salt.

Serving suggestions

Serve with pitta bread.

Chef's notes

Not being fond of sweet food, I often eat this for breakfast instead of cereal.
