How it works

Select the meat type and the weight of the bird or joint and, optionally, add the time you would like to carve/serve the meat and the timings will be calculated and a cooking schedule created.

Enter the weight in kg as n.n or n.nn ONLY (eg: 2.5 or 2.50)

Enter the carving/serving time in 24 hour format as hh:mm ONLY.

Data entered in any other format is likely to give invalid results.

See the associated discussion page if you are interested in the detailed calculations or have any suggestions or comments.

We also have a static table of cooking times here.
