About Balaton cheese
Balaton is a semi-hard, cows’ milk cheese named after Hungary’s Lake Balaton and it is loaf-shaped.
The cheese has a thin, greasy natural rind and a firm, compact texture with small holes. Its flavour is mild and acidic and is suitable for cooking as well as eating by itself. It is light yellow in colour.
