Queso de Canal de Ciercos cheese

Queso de Canal de Ciercos is an artisan pasteurised cows’ milk cheese from San Esteban de Cuñaba, in the ‘concejo’ of Peñamellera Baja. It can also be made with ewes’ and goats’ milk.

The cheese has a light yellow interior with small holes and a yellow rind. It has a fairly elastic texture and is cylinder shaped. It has an aroma of dried grass and a rich and creamy flavour. It weighs around 500 g.
