Pico is a DOP cheese from the island of Pico in the Azores.

The cheese was originally produced from cows’ milk cheese, but it is now often mixed with goats’ milk. It weighs about 350 g and has a yellow rind. The interior is soft and has a strong flavour. Its strong smell varies according to its degree of maturity.
