Bake-O-Glide pastry mat

Pastry mats are sheets (usually made out of silicone) which are used for rolling out dough. Although they can be bought plain, the most useful sorts are those which have conversion charts, measurements and circle guides.

The Bake-O-Glide mat is coated with non-slip silicone and is suitable for rolling out all forms of pastry, marzipan, fondant icing, and is also suitable for chocolate work and kneading dough. It is easy to clean, is dishwasher proof and comes with a storage tube. It measures 42cm x 61cm. Kitchen Craft produces a less expensive alternative and both mats are available from Amazon, although the Bake-O-Glide product is cheaper from The Emporium.
