About Mondseer cheese

Mondseer is a semi-hard, washed-rind, semi-skimmed, pasteurised, cows’ milk cheese from the Salzburg region of Austria. It is strong and smelly with a firm texture.

The cheese has a slightly spicy aroma and sweet-sour taste. It is allowed to mature for 2-3 months.
