This is a fragrant, umami-rich butter to compliment several dishes.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the cumin and chilli powder for a couple of seconds
  2. Pour into a bowl and add the remaining ingredients
  3. Mix thoroughly
  4. Roll into a log and wrap in clingfilm or transfer to a lidded container, such as a Lock&Lock box
  5. This will keep in the fridge for up to a week or can be frozen for one month

Serving suggestions

Add to chilli con carne, braised mince, Bolognaise sauce, stews or toss it with pasta
