Hazelnut oil

Hazelnut oil has a very light, pleasing sweet aroma, which is also somewhat nutty. It is a highly unsaturated vegetable oil that boasts of its fine texture. It is delicious as a dressing for salads and as a marinade for chicken or fish. It is a well established delicacy in French and Italian cuisine. It is not suitable for deep-frying and whilst it can be used for light shallow-frying, it is at its best uncooked.

Nutritional Information per 100ml: Energy 3404kj/828kcal, fat 92g of which saturate 7g, monounsaturates 69g of which oleic acid (omega 9) 69g, polyunsaturates of which alpha linolenic acid (omega 3) 1g, linoleic acid (omega 6) 10g, vitamin E 18mg.
