Cerney Pepper cheese

Cerney Pepper is a soft, artisan, unpasteurised goats’ milk cheese produced at Lady Angus’s Cerney Cheese dairy in North Cerney.

Made with vegetarian rennet, the cheese is rolled in the finest coarsely ground black pepper. Weighing 120 g, it is best at a week old to allow the subtle, peppery heat to develop. It is stocked by a number of Waitrose stores in Gloucestershire, as well as quality delicatessens across the UK.

Cerney Pepper was awarded the Gold medal for Best Flavoured Cheese at the British Cheese Awards in 2004 and the Bronze Medal in 2011.
