Canestrato di Moliterno Stagionato cheese


Canestrato di Moliterno Stagionato IGP is produced in a small town in the Val d'Agri, in the region of Bailicata, which has always been famous for cheese-making. It is a seasonal cheese made with a mixture of ewes’ and goats’ milk

The cheese is hard and yellow with a strong, aromatic, spicy flavour. It is cylindrical shaped and weighs between 2 and 3 kg. It is matured for about eight months.
