Caciotta del Monte Lazzarina cheese

Caciotta del Monte Lazzarina is produced throughout the year in the Apennines of Piacenza, in particular Monte Lazzarina. It is a cows' milk cheese, to which sometimes, goats' milk is added. The rind is pale yellowish-white, and the cheese has a slightly buttery taste. With a round shape and weighing 1kg, it is matured for 30 days.
