Burrata delle Murge cheese

Burrata delle Murge is a spun, cows' milk cheese from the Italian region of Puglia which is wrapped in asphodel leaves (a plant which grows wild in Murge). It is pear shaped with a smooth, white, glossy surface. It has a soft, creamy texture and a delicate and sweet flavour with a pleasantly acidic background.
